Palmer Park

My friend, Lauren, took me to an arts festival at Palmer Park. There were many kiosks of local painters, jewelry makers, furniture builders, etc. We got some Christmas shopping done and enjoyed the live music, alley of local foods (shared a gumbo and a jambalaya), and the dancing Santa.

Later, we went to a consignment shop I highly recommend.

The owner is an amazing slice of local color in hats and finery. A pianist often plays in the back. Today, he was dressed as Santa and gave us all 3 wishes. On Saturdays, they throw a piano “soiree” with wine, cheese and coffee.
