Spring has sprung (but it’s still chilly)

It’s late March and we’re still in hats and coats, but we’ve had many sunny days. The flowers are blooming, birds are migrating back through here on their northward journeys home, and festival season is about to explode into a non-stop overlapping calendar of food, music, crafts and costumes.

Before things really get rolling, a minute to stop and smell the flowers and enjoy the animals at Audubon Zoo.

Enjoy the view of Monkey Hill, the highest point in New Orleans. It’s said that Monkey Hill was built so that children growing up here would know what a hill looks like. For those of you from anywhere more hilly than Texas, try not to laugh too hard.

And enjoy my latest wreath – a celebration of Spring with a few of my St. Patrick’s flowers thrown in.
